About
Royston Stress Centre Ltd
Royston Stress Centre was established in 1992
in response to local concern about the high levels
of stress experienced by people in the area. It
was founded on the philosophy that “All
People are Unique” and have personal strengths and
resources that due to stressful circumstances they
may be unaware of or unable to put to best use.
The driving force behind the Royston
Stress Centre was a local tranquiliser support group. They developed
a steering group in partnership with the local
health forum and applied for funding. This was
a significant community development, set up in
response to local peoples concern in order to meet
local needs.
This local group went on to become our founding
Board of Directors.
At that time, Royston Stress Centre was a single project, which concentrated
on the needs of adults in the Royston Corridor
Area.
It was regarded as an innovative project, providing
holistic and complimentary therapies with the positive
aim of working with people to help them deal with
and manage negative/high stress levels more effectively,
increase their ability to make positive changes
and improve their health/well being and quality
of life.
The Board have continued to keep abreast of community
needs, which has resulted in growth and expansion
from a single project into an organisation, offering
an increased range of services to meet the needs
of different client groups. We now operate a number
of projects under the banner of “Royston
Stress Centre Ltd. These include:
Royston (Adult) Stress centre
